CAMERA PLACEMENT OPTIMIZER — Select map, Killer, and your team's classes. Get three camera positions ranked by coverage value and ALERT trigger priority. Deploy in order — Camera 1 first, always.

CameraPlacementOptimizer

Three camera positions. Ranked by value. Deploy in order before the Killer reaches the first generator cluster.

// STEP 1 — SELECT MAP

// STEP 2 — SELECT KILLER

// STEP 3 — YOUR TEAM'S CLASSES

Select all classes present on your team. Security Guard is assumed — it's your class.

Base Coverage

Foundation Score

Each camera position has a base coverage score (0–100) reflecting how many zones it can observe and how many Survivors typically pass through it per match. Bridge Center on The Forest scores 92 — the highest base coverage of any position.

Killer Bonus

Killer Modifier

Each Killer has a bonus score per position based on how frequently that Killer uses that zone and how much advance warning the camera provides. Ennard scores +22 at Back Corridor (Pizzeria) — his highest Wire Whip penetration zone.

Class Bonus

Team Modifier

Each class on your team adds a bonus to positions that protect their primary objectives. Technician adds +16–18 to positions near generators they are likely to use V.A.N.N.I. on. Fighter adds bonuses to positions near chokepoints where Parry is viable.

Scores are additive: Final Score = Base Coverage + Killer Bonus + sum of Class Bonuses for all team classes. The three positions with the highest Final Score are returned as Camera 1, 2, and 3. Last calibrated: Patch 2.4.

// HOW SECURITY GUARD CAMERAS WORK

Security Guard deploys up to 3 cameras per match. Each camera triggers ALERT when the Killer enters its coverage zone — broadcasting the Killer's position to all Survivors. Cameras can be destroyed by the Killer. Destroyed cameras cannot be redeployed.

Camera placement order matters: Camera 1 should always cover the highest-traffic zone. If the Killer destroys Camera 1 early, Cameras 2 and 3 maintain partial coverage. The optimizer ranks positions so that losing Camera 1 degrades coverage gracefully rather than catastrophically.

★ = Recommended Camera 1 in most configurations

01 KITCHEN JUNCTION is Camera 1 in 80% of configurations — it covers three zones simultaneously.

02 ENTRANCE is Camera 1 only against Springtrap, where early Lunge approach detection is highest priority.

03 BACK CORRIDOR becomes Camera 2 when Ennard is the Killer — Wire Whip through the corridor wall is his primary attack vector.
